Stainless steel “Laborious Clock”, Boym studio’s first manufactured design, was a characteristic object of the late-80s: sleek, upscale, and ironic. Each number of the clock face was expressed as a different industrial process: the metal sheet was bent, punched, riveted, scratched, welded.
Laborious Clock brought the studio our first I.D. Magazine design award. Soon, it’s design was copied by several foreign companies.
