MALE/FEMALE: SALT & PEPPER SHAKERS FOR ELIKA
Salt and pepper shakers – a ubiquitous tabletop “couple” – were considered quite literally in this design. Special aluminum extrusions were made in two colors: bronze and silver, the colors of pepper and salt. Our original proposal was to sell them as singles, to allow for same-sex couples to make their own pairs. This marketing concept was rejected as too risky.
