The Center for Jewish History asked us to provide an emotionally inspiring display for their inaugural exhibition. The design was organized along three essential themes related to the nature of Jewish identity. One skewed, dark, and dramatic space was devoted to rootedness and desire for community. The second spacious area focused on family and home; it had the walls left in the state of perpetual construction. The final display, Transmission, had no walls at all, conceived as a transparent warehouse of shared culture and knowledge.
