OH BOYM! – A RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBITION
The first retrospective exhibition of Boyms’ work was organized by the Bellevue Art Museum in Seattle. Later, the exhibition traveled to New York City to the Vitra Gallery.
The populist tone of the exhibition - “a Sideshow of Design” as we preferred to call it - was expressed in simple pop texts and humorous groupings of objects and images. We designed all displays, and carefully considered their layout for the maximum effect of discovery and surprise. usually to re-interpret them as products for public use.”
