VITRA SHOWROOM, CHICAGO
The second project for Neocon was commissioned for Vitra’s new, even smaller showroom space at the Merchandise Mart. To compensate for an awkward footprint of the showroom, we interpreted the entire floor as an oversized children’s board game (“Around the World”).
The graphics was produced as a vinyl transfer, and applied onto specially prepared concrete floor. Numbers and brief funny descriptions accompanied the chairs placed along the route. Visitors received congratulations on reaching the finish.
